A great accommodation in a beautiful environment. It is all very clean, well maintained and the rooms are lovingly furnished. Timo takes care of his guests. During my stay he has helped others book a tour in the Abel Tasman and has checked with others who wanted breakfast whether it should be freshly baked bread or muesli. Freshly picked pears were even free of charge. That my navigation system did not find it is probably the only shortcoming. But first of all not their fault and secondly it is signposted from the main road.

We had such an amazing stay at The Pear Orchard Lodge at the end of March. We had the whole lodge to ourselves and it was absolute bliss. Our little boy (almost 3) loved the chickens and the big beautiful bath as well as the toys they provided. The owners were amazing and they provided some incredible fresh produce including amazing passionfruit and a wonderful breakfast spread. Such a lovely spot to get away from it all. We had an amazing two nights. Thank you Timmo and fam xx

We have stayed at The Pear Orchard Lodge and we enjoyed every minute! The house itself is fresh, modern and very well equipped. We had a corner en-suite room with stunning views. We were able to make our own breakfast (fresh home made bread, free range eggs and fresh juice) in the morning, but you can also get meat and vegetables if you wish and everything is grown locally. The owner of the house is very friendly, helped us to arrange a tour to Abel Tasman park and gave many good tips for local restaurants and shops. Would definitely stay there again and can recommend to anybody that want a quiet, clean and beautiful place to stay. It has a boutique hotel feeling, although it's down to earth and simple.

We stayed at The Pear Orchard for our 3 day postgrad student writing retreat. The house was beautiful and comfortable, and the area around it was charming. A great getaway for our writing and discussions, and as PhD students who spend most our times locked up in our offices we were particularly appreciative of the change of location. Timo was very welcoming and let us borrow some bikes for a scenic bike ride around the area. Definitely recommend!
